What is Affinity Chef?

Affinity Chef is the private chef portal where you can find the chef who has the greatest affinity with you, verifying the personality traits obtained with the Big Five Personality Test.

How does Affinity Chef work for Clients?

First, you can test your personality traits here.

Once you have discovered your score on the five factors:

neuroticism (sensitive/nervous vs. resilient/confident)
extraversion (outgoing/energetic vs. solitary/reserved)
openness to experience (inventive/curious vs. consistent/cautious)
agreeableness (friendly/compassionate vs. critical/rational)
conscientiousness (efficient/organized vs. extravagant/careless)

then you will be able to select your chef based not only on the usual fields (availability on date, location, etc.) but also based on the correspondence of his scores on the five factors with yours.

For simplicity, we have classified each factor into three levels: high (> 70), medium (50-70), and low (< 50).

How does the booking process work?

Once the Client has identified the best chef service, there are two different possibilities depending on the way the chef accepts the booking requests, via the instant booking or the message feature.
In instant booking, you have to pick an available date and time from the calendar, insert the number of guests, and then the price is calculated according to the rules for the listing.
To be able to send the booking request, the client has to be already registered and logged in, otherwise, the registration process is automatically started.
Once the booking request is created the chef receives an email and will have to approve it or decline it manually.
If the chef doesn’t accept the instant booking, the client can message the chef who will receive an email request with the info from the client.
Once the reservation is approved (or declined), the Client will receive an email that the booking is confirmed (or declined).

Are Clients requested to register?

Clients can freely browse the services on Affinity Chef without the need to register, when they want to insert a booking, either instant booking or booking request, they need to create an account or login to their account, if they already have one.

I have dietary requirements, what can I do?

In the features section of the listed service, you will find the dietary restrictions that can be managed. You can also find other info in the description or the title of the service.
In case of doubt at the time of booking you can enter a message to explain what your specific needs are.

How can I cancel a booking?

The booking cancellation follows the cancellation policies indicated in the listing.
